Most of us remember our favorite childhood drink — the milkshake. Milkshakes will not only cheer you up, but they can also be good for your health and can satisfy slight hunger. A milkshake can be ideal for a friendly get-together or for a refreshing breakfast.

Banana Milkshake

You will need:

  • 1 banana
  • 7 oz (200 g) ice cream
  • 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) of milk

Directions:

  1. Peel and slice the banana.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a blender.
  3. Pour into glasses and enjoy your delicious milkshake!

Chocolate Milkshake

You will need:

  • 3.5 oz (100 g) dark chocolate
  • 2/3 cup (150 ml) hot water
  • 2 1/2 cups (600 ml) milk
  • 7 oz (200 g) chocolate ice cream

Directions:

  1. Pour hot water over 4/5 of chocolate and mix in a blender. Grate the rest of the chocolate on a grater.
  2. Add chocolate ice cream and milk and mix again.
  3. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with grated chocolate.

Breakfast Milkshake

You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 tablespoons of rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons of whipping cream
  • 2 cups (480 ml) of milk
  • vanilla sugar to taste

Directions:

  1. Peel and slice the banana.
  2. Mix together honey, lemon juice, milk, banana and oats in a blender.
  3. Whip the cream.
  4. Pour the milkshake into glasses and top it with whipped cream.

Pumpkin Milkshake

You will need:

  • 4.2 oz (120 g) pumpkin
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) of milk
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • 2/5 cup (100 ml) of whipping cream

Directions:

  1. Cook the pumpkin and make a puree (you can also use canned puree).
  2. Mix pumpkin puree with sugar, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a blender.
  3. Whip the cream.
  4. Pour the milkshake into glasses. Top it with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.

«Sweet Tooth» Milkshake

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 7 oz (200 g) of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 small cupcake
  • jam (optional)
  • whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix milk, ice cream and the cupcake until it’s smooth and fluffy.
  2. Pour into glasses, add jam and mix. Top it with whipped cream. Serve immediately.

Strawberry Milkshake in Chocolate Glaze

You will need:

  • 3 cups of strawberries
  • 2 cups of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 1/5 tablespoons (20 g) of unsalted butter
  • 3.5 oz (100 g) chocolate
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder

Directions:

  1. Soften the butter in a microwave oven.
  2. Chop chocolate and add to the butter. Mix together until it’s smooth.
  3. Add cocoa powder and mix again.
  4. Mix ice cream and strawberries together in a blender.
  5. Pour the chocolate mass into the glass, then add the ice cream and strawberry mix.
  6. Before serving, decorate with strawberries.

Coffee Milkshake

You will need:

  • 1.7 oz (50 ml) of espresso
  • 6.8 oz (200 ml) of milk
  • a pinch of vanilla sugar
  • 8 cubes of ice
  • 2.5 oz (70 g) of ice cream

Directions:

  1. Mix together milk, vanilla sugar, milk and coffee in blender.
  2. Add ice and mix again.
  3. Pour the milkshake into the glasses and serve.

Milkshake with Spice

You will need:

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • a small pinch of cayenne (chili) pepper
  • 4 teabags of spiced black chai tea
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 17 oz (500 ml) of vanilla ice cream

Directions:

  1. Pour milk into a saucepan on medium heat. Add ginger, pepper, tea bags and cinnamon. Stir for 5 minutes. Do not let it boil.
  2. Take off heat and after 5 minutes, take out the teabags.
  3. Let it cool to room temperature. Take out cinnamon.
  4. In a blender, mix together ice cream and milk until smooth.
  5. Pour into highball glasses and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bourbon Pumpkin Milkshake

You will need:

  • 14 oz (400 g) soft vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup of canned (or baked) pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of bourbon
  • 1/4 cup of light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • whipped cream and ginger cookies (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix together ice cream, pumpkin, milk, bourbon, sugar and spices in blender until smooth.
  2. Pour into 4 highball glasses. Decorate with a spoonful of whipped cream, nutmeg and cookies.

Salted Caramel Milkshake

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 3 cups of vanilla ice cream

Directions:

  1. Melt sugar in a saucepan on medium heat until it gets a dark-amber tint (for 3-4 minutes).
  2. Take off heat. Pour the milk, then add butter and salt. Thoroughly mix.
  3. Put back on heat for another 2 minutes and continue stirring. Pour into another pan and let it cool for 3 minutes.
  4. Put the ice cream in a blender and carefully pour the caramel mix. Mix until smooth.
  5. Enjoy!
