Italian photographer Guido Argentini has always strived to show the full elegance of the female body in his work. His latest project, ’Silver Gaze’, is a collection of truly mesmerising photographs in which the artist turned his subjects into living statues.
Argentini was born in Florence. By the time he was 23 he had decided to become a photographer. His work is influenced by the sculptures of Constantin Brâncuși, which were often made from polished bronze. The bodies of Argentini’s models are covered in a special paint which produces a similar effect to the surface of metal statues. The paint is perfect for emphasising the features and overall beauty of the human form.
We could stare at these captivating images for ever. Incredible!
