We all dreamed of having our very own fairytale bedrooms as kids, but one little girl’s dad went above and beyond to actually build her a forest den in her room. And it’s amazing.
Reddit user Radamshome is a video game artist who spend 350 hours and $4,250 on this awesome creation.
He said on Reddit, “My daughter wanted a fairy tree in her room that she could sit inside.”
And that’s exactly what she got.
Radamshome started with a concept drawing and a scale model (which is already beyond our DIY ability).
He even took private welding courses to make sure the tree skeleton structurally was sound, so it wouldn’t collapse on his daughter (wise).
The skeleton alone took over 100 hours to complete.
Then another few months were spent adding wire mesh, a special cement mix and papier mache to create the tree.
Then he wove fairy lights and leafy foliage across the ceiling to add that magical fairy forest effect.
And added cute decorations he found at an art supply store for the finishing touches.
And this tree-dweller looks pretty pleased! Amazingly, the tree is actually strong enough to support three people.
Radamshome might just be an early winner of Dad-of-the-Year. We wonder if he’s free to come and transform our apartment into a fairy wonderland, too…?
