Ingredients:
– 400-500 g of puff pastry dough
– 3 big sweet onions
– 3 eggs
– 4 table spoons of sour cream
– 100 of cheese
– powdered pepper
– oil

Instructions:

  1. Defrost puff pastry dough 1-1,5 hour before cooking,
  2. Peel the onions and cut into half rings, fry with adding oil until golden brown.
  3. While frying the onion, add salt and pepper
  4. Make the filling. Beat eggs with sour cream
  5. Grate the cheese and add it to egg-sour cream mix. Stir.
  6. Roll out 2/3 of defrosted puff pastry dough and put in a pie pan, make the borders 1-1,5 inches height, then cut off the rest of the pastry
  7. The fried onions put on the pastry
  8. Then spread the egg-cheese filling proportionally. Turn up the pastry borders to the center of the pie
  9. Cut in strips the rest of the pastry and put it in a criss-cross manner like a net. The net cover with the rest of the eggs filling or with 1 egg yolk.
  10. Cook the onion pie in a preheated to 220 C oven for about 25-30 minutes. It can be served both hot and cold.
