Many of us know about human heart only from textbooks or from the programs on the Discovery channel .
This 3-D model of the heart helps us to understand your body much better. It was created by scientists of the Tokyo University of Technology with the support of Fujitsu.

The model gives an idea not only about the construction of the chambers of our heart, but also how the hearts’ valves operate. To create it, researchers reproduced the contraction of the muscles, using supercomputer.

The model helps to understand which parts of heart use the biggest amount of energy for work. Scientists hope that in the future, their study will be useful for planning of the treatment and operations. The model has already received an award at Siggraph 2015  for the best visualization.
